Eventide Sweater

$7.00

Eventide is both my first ever sweater pattern, and the first pattern written specifically for our gradient sweater sets. Worked from the top down seamlessly in the round, this sweater is super easy with raglan sleeves and no waist shaping. A little lace at the neckline and cuffs adds a whimsical touch.

You will need:

  • One set of The Blue Brick sweater sets (in either an all over gradient or gradient sleeves only) OR 1000-2000 yds of fingering weight yarn (check size chart) Sample shown in Eventide, all over gradient.
  • 24” circular needles in 3.5mm
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
  • 4 stitch markers

Gauge:

24 stitches  and 40 rows = 4” in stockinette

Size:

To fit a bust size of: (36, 38, 40, 42)( 44, 46, 48, 50) (52, 54, 56, 58) inches. Sweater has approx. 2” of positive ease built in.

Yardage:

Approximately (1193, 1250, 1309, 1370) (1435, 1499, 1567, 1637)(1711, 1788, 1868, 1953) yds. of fingering weight yarn.

If you are working with a Blue Brick kit:

  • 36” - 42” = Size A
  • 44”- 50” = Size B
  • 52” - 58” = Size C

DISCARDING YARN: I know that sounds awful! However, there are 3 kit sizes for our sweaters, and 12 sweater sizes to choose from. This means that many of you will end up having to discard some yarn to ensure that you get the entire gradient on to your project. There are no hard-and-fast rules for *where* to discard the yarn, except to aim for large colour areas where you will not impact the gradient.

Alternatively, if you enjoy longer sweaters, you can simply keep going until you run out :) I just want to make sure this gets said up front in case it's a deal breaker for you ❤️❤️
